Seems I either need a dolly/trailer with big, inflatable tires, (sand can be soft) or try the fender/roll technique first. I’ll post my trial & errors & final solution, if there is one!
Has anyone used a beach roller to “roll” a Sunfish up onto higher ground?
I keep my Sunfish about 60-70 feet from the shoreline. At low tide it’s even more. My back can’t drag it anymore and the trailer tires sink into the sand. The $90 roller would be a low cost alternative to a $500 trailer...
I just bought a Harken 241 swivel base cam cleat for occasional hands free sailing (the sheet, not tiller!).
I’m not the handyman type & want to know what tools I need to install it & the basic steps of installation.
