Hey guys would this block with a hook fit on the eye of the sail at the clew? I was just wondering if the hook itself was large enough to bridge the gap between the eye and the edge of the leech.

What age is your boat?

I have used Harken, Holt and the 3:1 system, (just don't even think about buying that one!)
Out of the Harken and Holt, I much preferred the Holt system to the Harken one... Yes the secondary line (ie the one you pull) overlaps, in the 4:1 part of it, but if you are using a good rope, it wont...
Well, I would say sail a radial, they are more widely sailed and you get better competition sailing them...
You are only likely to get heavier and not lighter, so it will play to your advantage.
Also I sail a full rig and I'm about 68kg, I usually handle fine and am usually at/near the front of...
I've used both in my past, and I definitely prefer the Holt system...
I know the lines cross over at one point, and they aren't as well separated as the lines in the Harken system, but the angle of cleating is better, the cleat swivel is much better and if you are using good line the crossover...

Hey, I'm looking for a new mainsheet, preferably 6mm. I need it to be quite light, gentle on the hands and hard wearing. It would also be nice if it didn't absorb water. Obviously though I don't want something too expensive, ie over £2/m would be classed too expensive by me
Thanks =P
I was just wondering if, someone else from the UK had bought something from intensity and they could just give me a price without having to contact them and wait for a reply... But I will do that now. xD
Thanks =)
What I do to give my hull a nice shine, is use some sort of cleaning product (I use muc-off) and then a rotating sander but with a buffer pad. It smooths the underside of the hull really nicely and doesn't damage it at all! (I doubt it makes you go any faster but the thought is there, so maybe...
The best covers come from sail-register. A UK based company which sell different types of laser cover for instance you can get hold of the all singing all dancing fully breathable pvc cover or just a normal over cover. They are all very good prices. You can buy from their website...
Yes, a toestrap with two loops at the end is illegal to race with.
Even if you leave it with no elastic attached. (Might need to check that with a measurer)
Yeah, you would get a lot of unwanted attention, unfortunately.
Best toestrap to buy is either...
Mine is just a basic rooster traveller (the non-dyneema one) and I have never had this problem.
All I do to keep it at the corner is put a foot below the cleat and pull on the rope and push with my leg to get as much tension as possible.
