Great advise!

I like the spar tire idea best. I would have had to use my vans spar and I hate getting that out. But will carry a spar for trailer from now on.

My wife setting on My sunfish above the axel. Lugs came off easily.

I tried chocks. But like spare tire Idea...and why did I not think of that? I know I opened myself up to jokes with that comment.

Awesome Idea. I did not try rubber chocks, but did put triangular wood chocks. Rubber more friction, yes!

Yes I replaced tired tire. LOL

It was not for want of leverage. The tire kept spining. I did get my wife to set on the Fish just above the axel that put enough weight on the tire, so it would not spin. But what does a feller do when he is alone?

Does not matter I have capsized in every wind up to 25 to 30 knots. I can no longer get back in the boat easily 10 or 12, so now this is my limit of comfortable.

Fix a flat will not help in this case. My dilemma is not enough weight to turn lugs off. I do not have an impact tool, only a four way. The sunfish is on the trailer. I have no help. Any tips. I may try having my wife set just above the axel and see if that works for enough torque. But my...

I have since looked into it and the fix does not look that difficult. There are such things as dagger board slot gaskets. Looks like an easy fix. But I agree with one bad tack though.

Often I see water spraying up the centerboard slot. Does it not stand to reason that it cause drag? and is there a way to seal it? Has anyone tried? If so, with what success?

Is there an effective way to seal the dagger board slot? I am not worried about being class legal. Seems to me that there is lots of drag created by water forcing its way up the Slot
