I'm interested in a Laser 171000 ish near me. It had a mark/line on the deck just in board of the port gunwale. Do you know what causes this. I have never seen it before.
Excellent "laser origins" video, probably been posted before but well worth half an hour, a coffee and a brownie.

Hi all,
It's time to start thinking about new gear for next year. Our 4 boat fleet has been well used this year as the lockdown has meant that everybody has been staying at home and sailing instread of sitting in airport lounges trying to get somewhere with cheap booze.
We might buy enough...
I look after 5 Lasers for my club here in the UK. We don't race, they are all just used for fun sailing mostly in good conditions. Many of our older members don't use them as they find them uncomfortable and difficult due to the low boom and the mainsheet catching on the transom problem. (None...
As I'm isolating myself it's time to start on all those small jobs at the club that need to be done. First one is the bow of this Laser, the front 8" Starboard side was bashed by another boat. I've cut all the damaged area away. What strategy do you suggest?
Went out today with a 4.7 rig the club has just been given. 15mph winds max, gusty. Really nice fun sail, suprisingly fast. A well spent afteernoon in the sun. Anyone else use one? I'm 80kg in my socks........
My club has just been given hull 46355, it's got a centre jammer, I've never seen on like this that was original. There are no side deck cleat holes so it must have been sent out like this. I'll probably replace it with a ratchet block anyway. Nice piece of kit though, works well in light winds.
