What cunningham ratio do you use?

This question has probably been answered before but I have searched and not fond an answer. With the new deck cleats what sides should I lead the outhaul and cunningham? I currently have cunningham on starboard and outhaul on port. What is best and why? Any ideas appreciated. Phil

What is the best tiller extension lenght?

I am adjusting the lengths of the ropes on my kicker and was wondering if I should allow more than block to block at the expense of being able to let the kicker right off for running by the lee. Or if I should make block to block the maximum allowing more length when totally released. Phil

I have a year old laser and am wondering whether I should install an inspection hatch. Some people say it will let water in and damage the boat. Other people say you should have one, if you don’t have a hatch you can’t tell if water is getting in. I was wondering what everyone thought.

I have replaced the cascaded downhaul with a simple double block system and now get a full amount of travel. What ratio purchase should I use for the downhaul? And is it a good idea to get rid of the cascaded system? Phil
