Does anyone have any hints about putting the hull and deck together after fixing the Mast step? Thanks for your input.
Puttering in Canada. eh!

Are you really telling us that you separated the deck from your hull to be able fix your mast step?

Dear JP,

It's not clear whether you separated the deck from the hull or whether you "found" this Laser with the hull and the deck already separated.

The problem is, with the hull separated from the deck, without a mould or template supporting the hull from underneath, the hull shape is likely to have been distorted beyond the "class-legal" measurements.

As for putting the deck and the hull back together, the best person to contact is Fred Schroth.

3M 5200 polyurethane sealant is the appropriate sealent to use to glue a completely separated deck and hull pair back together. Some related advice is available in
"Repairing Laser Hull-to-Deck Joints"
in drLaser's "Maintenance & Fitness Section".
