After five regattas held over multiple weekends, the eighth and penultimate stage of the 2023 Italian J/24 National Circuit concluded successfully. Hosting the two-day event was the Circolo Nautico Amici della Vela Cervia. LA SUPERBA, sailed by Ignazio Bonanno from the Italy Navy Sailing Club, posted a tally of 4-1-1-1-2 for 5 net points to win. Taking the silver was Italian J/24 Class President Pietro Diamanti. His CARRARA team posted a respectable 2-2-5-6-4 record for 13 pts net. Rounding out the podium was Fabrizio dalla Casa’s JOANNA, helmed by Andrea Collina, with an 8-4-2-3-6 tally for 15 pts net. Aside from LA SUPERBA, individual race winners included Stefano Leporati’s FOUR K, Domenico Brighi’s J-CAPITAN NEMO and Mirco Minotti’s JAI JAI. The CNAVC Race Committee was chaired by Ettore Bonaguri with a team that consisted of Franco Minotti, Enrico Pavirani Pozzani, and Anna Crotti. There was a nice opportunity to celebrate the J/24 Class all together in friendship at the Saturday evening dinner. For Italian J/24 Class information, visit http://www.j24.it.
