Hello Laser, Laser Radial Racers and Friends:
Alamitos Bay Yacht Club (ABYC) in Long Beach CA is hosting its annual Memorial Day Holiday Regatta May 25-26 http://www.abyc.org/event.cfm?id=1282. Racing for Lasers and Radials will be contested in the Ocean and in the more protected waters near the club in Alamitos Bay.

If you are interested in competing in the Area J Qualifier, please read this Supplemental Notice of Race to ensure you meet the Eligibility Requirements.
This ladder event will determine the Area J (Southern California, Southern Nevada, Utah and Arizona) representatives (man & woman) to compete in the 2013 U.S. SAILING Singlehanded Championship September 13-15, 2013 at the Manasquan River Yacht Club in Brielle NJ: http://championships.ussailing.org/Adult/USSinglehandedChampionship.htm
The Area J Qualifier will be contested in Lasers for men and Laser Radials for women. The Singlehanded Championship will be contested in Lasers for men and Byte CII’s for women.
All Laser and Radial sailors, regardless of whether they race in Alamitos Bay or on the Ocean course, will be eligible for ABYC Memorial Day Holiday Regatta awards as provided in the regatta Notice of Race: http://www.abyc.org/upload/2013_Memorial_Day_NOR.pdf
This is a regatta with opportunities for both seasoned as well as less seasoned Laser and Radial racers…always well run by ABYC race management with a great patio BBQ Saturday evening!
