The 2009 Women's Radial World Championship in Karatsu, Japan, is at the half way point, with the qualifying round for the gold/silver split complete. Representing the North American Region are eight US and eleven Canadian women, including Olympic Gold Medalist Anna Tunnicliffe. After three days of racing, Anna Tunnicliffe is the top North American, currently tied on points with Sari Multala for second and 2 points off Lijia Xu in first. Also in the gold fleet are Paige Railey (9th), Sarah Lihan (26th), Isabella Bertold (33rd), Anne Haeger (36th), Lisa Ross (40th) and Keamia Rasa (41st).
