I have resources, etc to do this. Not scientific by any means, except shortening the foot by 28" like the Farrar sails latest generation. This is an older, flat 5 panel sail...so I shouldn't have to worry about the draft too much, but will try to continue what's there and use the battens for the extended roach. The "line" outlines the top dimension and the clew is folder over the 28". Probably take that "triangle and invert it, going up the roach...then add new material. Will add a "sleeve" to for the upper boom and make it loose footed as well. As L&VW would say...retirement time is free. lol!
I'm guessing this is an older 75 sq/ft sail and looks like it will bump up a couple square feet with this mod. Supposedly the weather helm gets reduced in heavy air moving things forward... and we will see about the extra stuff up top for a righting moment! That said...I have lead discs to put in a daggerboard if needed! .... seriously!! ha!
