laser for leisure sailing?

what is your opinion of using a laser for relaxing type day sailing ala sunfish? is it too 'touchy' ?
 
Perfectly fine. At my old club we used to sail from the clubhouse end of the lake to the far end where there was a public car park and ice cream van, beach boats and have an ice cream (whilst answering lots of questions about the boats usually) then have a nice relaxed sail back.
 
As Sailorchick wrote, the Laser is a fine boat for just messing around. A bit more tippy than a Sunfish, but as long as the water is warm.....
 
I had some of the best days of a my life messing around in a Laser as a teenager..........at the time, I couldn't understand why people raced them
 
That's mostly what I use my Laser for... enjoy!!!

The only thing it's really missing for just fooling around on is storage - which is helped by an inspection port with a barnie bag.
