I have a laser from 1987 that i have been racing for 3 years and it has treated me well, with many repectable finishes. I have recently weighed it to find out that it is 10 pounds over wieght and i need to be in direct competion with all these new boats in higher end regattas. I am looking to buy a NEW boat and i am wondering what the real difference between Laser XD and Laser Race really are. I am in Vancouver and i already have ideas where to buy it from, but if you also have any ideas where to buy it, that would be great as well. But i mostly want to know difference between XD and Race. I have looked online, but cannot find it.
