Can someone tell me how to sail by the lee correctly

With a following wind and your main abeam (all the way out), steer so that the wind is coming slightly over the windward side of the boat. Watch out for the sail to luff or go slack, as that means the wind is going behind it and a jibe is imminent. If it does jibe, don't stop it, prepare to balance the boat, and don't drop the tiller.Can someone tell me how to sail by the lee correctly
